I’ve been asked quite a few times recently wardrobe questions related to a session, so I thought I’d get back into my Pinterest account and come up with some inspiration! Gone are the days of being overly matchy matchy, or everyone wearing the same khakis + white top for a photo (although, who hasn’t done that!?) I want my clients to be inspired and wear something that they feel comfortable and special in. Maybe you want to dress up, or be casual, but since you probably don’t have your photo taken everyday, take a little time to plan out your outfit (and your fiancés/families too!) down to your shoes, accessories, jewelry…or if its a winter session, maybe even outdoor wear such as scarves + gloves.

Now that we’re headed into the winter months, I really suggest layering–getting two outfits out of one. Maybe you have a great classic coat/scarf/gloves for an outdoor location, and then underneath you have a fabulous red dress for drinks where you had your first date. It avoids having to carry another outfit around and less time required for changing.
