Do you still use a VHS player? Cassette tapes? 8-tracks? Most likely no. And although I totally love rocking a mix tape now and then (ace of base+prince+queen=love), it seems that there’s always something better to do the same job. I recently realized that along with the obvious out-of-date technology, CD’s too are on their way out. In fact, it’s been rumored that Apple may soon get rid of disc drives all together, and no longer includes them in newer products such as the MacBook Air and iMac. So the lightbulb went off…why would I deliver images on technology my clients might not be able to use on their home computer?
Thumb drives are a great replacement for CD’s, as you don’t run the risk of scratching, they can withstand more wear, and are easier to store as they take up less space. I did a little research and came across a great site called photoflashdrive.com, where I ended up placing a small order (a whopping 2 flash drives!..hey, they had to earn my trust..). The best part about them is that there’s no minimum order, so you can order as little or as many as you like. Great for photographers like myself who don’t typically purchase business supplies in bulk.
I’m really loving how they turned out and can’t wait to see what feedback I get from clients! Happy Tuesday 🙂
Vere cool!
