NATALIE

I always knew I wanted to live a creative life. One that would take me on new adventures, to faraway places, and always keep me on my toes. A life that would connect me with like-minded people, those who valued the experience as much as the final destination. Those who know there is beauty in the details. “I’m inspired by the effortless connection between two people in love.”

IN COLLEGE I STUDIED PHOTOGRAPHY, focusing on the fashion photography greats like Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz and Patrick Demarchelier. After college I worked as a freelance photographer and assistant, and eventually took a job as a full time product photographer in Chicago. While working in the studio, I was asked to photograph a wedding and what was a serendipitous opportunity turned into a deep, everlasting love affair. In 2013 I left that job to pursue weddings full time and it has been a beautiful ride documenting love stories ever since.

To me, wedding photography is all my loves in one. I love getting to know each couple’s love story, photographing the formal portraits and those little candid moments unfolding without prompting throughout the day. As a former product photographer, it should come as no surprise that I love photographing the details - the bride’s shoes, the groom’s monogrammed cufflinks, the layers of lush detail in each place setting ... all those little touches that make a wedding day unique. I’m inspired by the effortless connection between two people in love -- the little glances, the inside jokes, the way two people in love naturally gravitate towards each other. Every couple different from the next, each love story unique.

When I’m not photographing a gorgeous couple, you’ll likely find me hanging at home in Chicago with my husband Brian and our two children, eleanor and henry.
